Career
He joined Value Partners in September 2006 and stayed until July 2023. Partner from 2018, he was responsible for the Industrial Goods & Services and Private Equity practices on an international scope.
Seventeen years with large multinational industrial groups: portfolio and business strategy, turnaround programs, operational excellence and organization design. Settings with little margin for error, where the client is the C-level of the organization.
In July 2023 he left Value Partners to launch Prince Consulting & Investment Partners, of which he is founder and Managing Partner, and joined Lavorenti & Partners as a Partner.
The mid-market as a perimeter
The choice made in 2023 was to bring the same craft to a different perimeter. Italian companies with revenues between €20 and €300 million face strategic complexity comparable to that of multinational groups, yet rarely have access to an advisor with that kind of expertise.
The distance changes too. The client is the entrepreneur or the owning family, decisions are taken in the same room where they are discussed, and whoever advises answers directly for the advice given.
The method
No engagement resembles the previous one, because none of the companies we work with resembles the others. The method is constant; the answer is not.
The sequence is almost always the same: first identify where the company can create value, then build the business plan, then test whether the organization is able to get there, and only at the end assess whether an extraordinary transaction is needed. Those who start from the transaction tend to pay for it twice.
He remains the direct counterpart from the first meeting through to closing or to the execution of the plan. When a project calls for specialist skills, the team is built from an established network of management consulting professionals and senior advisors with managerial experience in the focus sectors. What does not change is who answers for the result.
Track record
Over 200 management consulting projects and over 15 M&A transactions completed in the Italian mid-market, for an aggregate value above €1.3 billion. Of the transactions, 60% buy-side for Private Equity funds and 40% sell-side for family businesses.
Two examples of the work.
In March 2025 he acted as financial advisor to Finint Equity for Growth (Finint E4G), a private equity fund managed by Finint Investments, in the acquisition of a majority stake in Bonetto Art-Legno, a Vicenza-based company founded in 1922 and active in bespoke luxury furnishings for fashion retail.
For a leading wood processing and manufacturing group, the development of the business plan and the design of first- and second-level organizational structures, of the key responsibilities of management positions and of the coordination mechanisms.
